The Community Chest Wheelock Swim for Millions 2019 will be held on 13 October(Sunday) at Repulse Bay Beach. The Chest hopes that the event can gain even wider public support for youth development, and encourage young people to spend more time exercising in order to obtain physical
fitness and perseverance.
A series of exciting competitions will be held on the event day. Join the Golden Kilometre Race to take on the challenge of stamina. Leaders’ Lap invites all elites to take part. Relay Races require team spirit for family, corporate, disciplined force and school. For family fun, come join the non-competitive activity Swim for Fun (please refer to the Appendix). All donations raised will go to support youth services provided by the Chest’s member agencies. To add to the fun, there will also be game booths and sand castle games.
The Chest is grateful for the support of title sponsor Wheelock and Company Limited, major sponsors: Citi, Lan Kwai Fong Group and Petit Bateau, and food & beverage sponsor Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong. Come join and enjoy the fun of swimming while contributing to charity!

About The Community Chest of Hong Kong
The Community Chest of Hong Kong was established in 1968 as an independent, non-profit making organisation neither funded nor operated by the Government. It celebrated its 50th Anniversary on 8 November 2018. Each year, the Chest organises fund-raising events for over 160 member social
welfare agencies to provide services to more than 2.5 million beneficiaries in Hong Kong in six major areas of services: children & youth, elderly, family & child welfare, medical & health, rehabilitation & aftercare, and community development. The Chest’s administration expenses come from a subsidised grant from our partner-in-charity, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, in addition to income from investments. This allows the Chest to allocate 100% of funds raised to charitable use; this operations model makes the Chest unique among its peers, and helps fulfil its mission to act as trustee of the donors.
