In 2022/2023, The Community Chest of Hong Kong allocates over HK$6.7 million to support “Green Related Projects” provided by social welfare member agencies. 100% of the funds raised through Green Low Carbon Day, without deduction of administrative costs, will be designated to support member agencies in providing food rescue and assistance, promoting culture of food cherishing, redistribution of community resources, urban green and organic farm programmes, aim at promoting public awareness and understanding of the concept of sustainable development while helping those in need.

Food For Good Community Chest Tung Tau Community Kitchen Hot Meal ServiceThe project conducts different Programmes like Community Refrigerator to promote culture of food cherishing and produces hot meal boxes which then distributed to the needy. |
hc: FarmThe project aims to provide employment opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities and promote environmental protection and healthy eating in organic farm. |
Community Resources Recycling ProjectThe project aims to achieve social inclusion and recycling of the waste by renovating second hand furniture, which then matched with families-in-need. |

Promotional materials will be provided by the Chest office. Please publicise the event within your organisation to encourage participation. Soft copy of promotional materials can be downloaded here or obtained via email upon request.
FUND RAISING
With a donation of HK$85 or more, each participant will receive one “Green Low Carbon Day Commemorative Ticket” for 2 days of unlimited travel* on the MTR on 27 and 28 November 2022. Your organisation can also make a matching contribution to encourage participation. *Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of the Commemorative Ticket
CONFIRMATION
Co-ordinator should confirm the required number of Commemorative Tickets before Thursday, 27 October 2022. The Commemorative Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. The Chest office will send a confirmation to your organisation by email or fax upon receiving the Reply Form, and will notify your organisation on arrangement of Tickets distribution on or before 16 November.
EVENT DAYS

SEND IN DONATION
Co-ordinator should consolidate and return the donations to the Chest office by Friday, 23 December 2022. ● Deposit the donation into the Chest’s account at Bank of China (Hong Kong): 012-874-0-008588-4, or ● Write a crossed cheque made payable to “The Community Chest of Hong Kong” Please send the original bank-in slip(s) or cheque(s) and Donation Record Form(s) to the Chest office at: Unit 1805, 18/F, Harcourt House, 39 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.
